Remote start black screen

My solterra is weird. Sometimes after I remote start it, the screen is just black. Turning it off and on doesn't do anything. I have to turn it completely off and walk away for a bit, and then it works. Super annoying! Anyone else dealing with this?

This is from experience. Try forcing a reboot by holding down the power button for a few seconds.
Test it when it’s working fine so you can marvel at how quickly it shuts off and powers back on before it inevitably fails again. When I get the occasional Apple CarPlay connection failure this is my “tech wizard” move.
I think it’s only failed on power-on (like yours) a couple of times a year just enough to keep me on my toes

If the above doesn't work, try resetting the system to see if that helps.

It seems like a software issue possibly a communication problem between the remote start and the car's computer. While I haven't seen others report this it's common for new EVs to have these kinds of glitches. You should record each instance and take it to the dealership. It might just need a software update, but it could be something else. Please let us know what the dealer says!
