I can’t dictate WhatsApp messages in my Solterra

After updating to iOS 17, I can’t dictate WhatsApp messages in my Solterra using CarPlay anymore. It was working fine with iOS 16, and it still works in my Subaru Outback, so I think the issue is with the Subaru/Toyota infotainment system. Has anyone else run into this problem or found a fix?
 
I am pretty sure some settings got overwhelmed because of the update. Have you tried to un-pair and then pair the phone again? Try that, and come up with an update. We will try to figure it out.
 
It's possible that the issue is a compatibility problem between the latest iOS version and your vehicle's system, or there might be a misconfigured setting on your iPhone. Try restarting your device, check your siri settings, test siri with the app, check your carplay connection and make sure that your car software is updated. I hope it works!
 
That usually happens when either the car's software is updated or your phone is updated. I suggest hard reset and or wait a while. I'm sure Subaru's received complaints about this and you're not alone.
