Hi! Two days ago, the app on my phone alerted me that the doors on my SOLTERRA were unlocked. You may see this happen occasionally. Yes, you are right! Though, here is the issue.

I tried to lock the doors through the app, but I couldn't because the app said a key fob was in the car. Again, it can happen. I went back to the car, and yes, the app was right. There was a key fob.

But here is the thing that made me write this post. The key fob was for my wife's Subaru CROSSTREK. Why the car refused to lock considering the key fob wasn't for the Solterra? Any thoughts?

I’m pretty sure it’s just a glitch or some quirky system thing. You could give those key pouches a shot to block the signal, or wrap the other car’s key in foil.

It’s likely the Solterra detected the Crosstrek key fob due to shared Subaru tech, mistakenly thinking it was its own. :D

You might want to check if there’s an update for the Solterra’s software to avoid similar issues.

The system might be detecting the key fob based on proximity, even if it's not for the Solterra. Have you tried restarting the car or moving the fob farther away?

I'm starting to think something's wrong with the car itself, maybe the part that receives the signal from the keys. You might need to take it to the mechanic to get it checked out.
