I'm having a real nightmare trying to get my Samsung S24 Ultra to charge wirelessly in my subaru solterra! I have this spigen tough armor case on it, and no matter how I try to position the phone on the charging pad, it connects for a split second and then just stops. My home charger is a bit picky too, but at least it eventually starts working.

I'm wondering if this is a common issue with the S24 Ultra and these wireless chargers, or if there's something wrong with my car's setup. I really don't want to have to wrestle with this case every time I need to charge.

Have you tried charging it without the case on? At least we can find out if there is an issue with the car, or with the phone.

yeah this is a known issue with thicker cases and Samsung phones. Spigen is great for protection but its usually too thick and block the wireless charging coils from properly aligning. You could try a MagSafe-compatible case with a wireless charging ring to improve connectivity. If that doesn’t work, it might just be easier to go wired with a fast-charging USB-C cable.

Wireless charging problems are the worst. In car chargers are often picky especially with big phones and thick cases. Your S24 Ultra and its Spigen case are probably just too much for the charger. The case is likely blocking the connection. It's not necessarily your car's fault it's just how wireless charging works. Try charging without the case to see if that's the issue. If it is, you might need a thinner case or one made for wireless charging. You might have to pick between having a protective case and easy charging.
