After installing the latest Subaru Solterra update, I’ve noticed my panic alarm goes off randomly with no apparent trigger. It’s happened several times now, and I’m not sure if it’s related to the software update or something else.

I’ve been getting some strange notifications in the Subaru Solterra app.
“Violated the set speed limit”
“Exceeded the set maximum driving time”
“Exceeded the set maximum miles”

I never set these parameters, so I’m unsure where they came from or why the app is tracking them. Could this all be tied together? Has anyone else experienced these strange alerts or random panic alarms?

That’s weird. Maybe the update reset some default settings? Try digging through the app or the car’s settings to see if anything looks off.

It sounds like the update messed up the car's software particularly its security and tracking systems. Those alerts are especially worrying because you didn't set them. You should take it to the dealer immediately to fix what could be a software bug or security problem. Also, double-check your app settings. Please let us know what you find out.
